Erik ten Hag has experienced a mixed start to life at Manchester United but the Dutchman has recovered from a miserable first two games, winning the last four in the league.
Most of his summer signings have immediately adjusted to his demands and are now integral cogs of his machinery, which strengthens his hand ahead of future windows.
Amid United’s impressive recovery, which includes wins against Liverpool and Arsenal, fans are debating whether it might be suitable to set more ambitious objectives under Ten Hag.
Jordi Cruyff, the former United player, and Ronald Koeman, the former Barcelona manager, have now praised Ten Hag and even argued that he could be the man to bring the Premier League back to Old Trafford.

“I think, with Ten Hag, United got kind of a new air. It feels as if it’s a new start and I’m talking only from the outside. From what I read, I follow a bit,” Cruyff told Sky Sports, as seen above.
“A new start gives a lot of expectancies and it’s always difficult to manage that. The Premier League is a tough league. The top four, it’s very hard to know at the beginning of the season who will be top four.
“In that aspect, it’s a tough challenge but with time, with patience, with the necessary movements in the transfer periods, I’m sure they’ll get back to where they need to get.”
Koeman, another famous Dutch coach, explained what a Ten Hag looks for in a team and admits that he thinks his compatriot is capable of ending United’s wait for their 21st league title.
“He’s a coach who likes good football, he’s a coach who likes to play attacking football. With some good signings and time, I think he will bring United back to the top of the Premier League,” Koeman said.
