Manchester United have confirmed legendary former captain Roy Keane will feature in today’s Legends of the North clash against Liverpool.

The Red Devils will be looking to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg at Old Trafford, in a match that raised an incredible £1.3 million for the Manchester United Foundation.

A second leg allows for more funds to be generated for local charities.

Kick-off is 3pm and this will be Keane’s first time togging out in a United kit since 2005 at Anfield, as per ManUtd.com. The former Republic of Ireland international was forced off with an injury in that 0-0 draw and joined Celtic later that year after a fall out with then manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

United fans will be delighted to see Keane back in the shirt today. He is set to feature alongside the likes of Jaap Stam, Darren Fletcher, Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov.

The team will be managed by Andy Ritchie in Bryan Robson’s absence. Andy Cole will be assistant manager.
