Manchester United monitoring Monaco youngster linked to Barcelona

AS Monaco youngster Pearl Vanderson is attracting interest from a number of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United.

Manchester United will be in the market for a new right-back in the coming transfer windows. Not because Diogo Dalot isn’t doing a good enough job at right back (he is), but the doubt in our minds that would come as a result of an injury.

I don’t trust Aaron Wan-Bissaka to fulfill all duties expected of a full-back under Erik ten Hag. Dalot has done so remarkably since the beginning of the season along with Tyrell Malacia at left-back.

According to Spanish publication Sport, as cited by the Manchester Evening News, Barcelona are looking at the 21-year-old, but they warn that United are also showing interest.

The right-back was already targeted by Barcelona in the summer, and has remained on their shortlist for a position that needs addressing at Camp Nou.

Hector Bellerin has only been signed on a temporary deal until the end of the season and Xavi was willing to let both Sergino Dest and Daniel Alves leave.

United need someone who will offer more competition for Dalot. Not give him an easy ride into the team like Wan-Bissaka.
