Manchester United got off to a winning start in the Women’s Super League with a 4-0 win over Reading.
Prior to Manchester United’s WSL opener, however, club captain Katie Zelem received a special award to commemorate her 100th appearance.
Zelem became the first player to make 100 appearances for Manchester United Women and it’s a fantastic achievement for someone who has been there from the start.
She showed during the game both why she has played so many games for this side with a strong display in the centre of the park. To make matters better, two of Zelem’s corners led to goals and she got on the scoresheet herself.
