Diogo Dalot is reportedly a transfer target for Barcelona after making an impressive start to the new season for Manchester United.
Both full-backs have been excellent for Erik ten Hag since the new Premier League campaign began. On the right, Dalot has been United’s most improved player and, on the left, Tyrell Malacia has proven to be a shrewd bit of business.
According to Fichajes.net, Dalot is a prime target for Xavi as he looks to strengthen his right-back options, which is something I would also like to see United do in January.
The report suggests Barcelona believe they could convince Dalot to join, but the Manchester Evening News claims United have an option to extend the 23-year-old’s deal.
Dalot has been very good but it’s still an area in the team that could be improved.
Moreover, United don’t have much depth in the department, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka being the only other recognised right-back in the squad.
