Manchester United have traveled to Moldova to take on Sheriff in their second Matchday of this season’s Europa League.
Coming into Thursday evening’s matchup off the back of an opening defeat against Real Sociedad, the Red Devils, led by Dutch manager Erik ten Hag, will know that anything less than three points will leave their European hopes in tatters, and that potential scenario has been echoed in the boss’ team selection.
Naming a strong starting 11, which includes new signing Antony, as well as five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, ten Hag has raised a few eyebrows with just how aggressive his team selection is.
However, given the fact that after tonight’s game the Red Devils will not play again until October 2, the risks are relatively low, and speaking before the match, the 52-year-old admitted that this team, considering all the players he has available to him, are in fact, his best side.
