(Video) Rio Ferdinand and Owen Hargreaves discuss Premier League All-Star concept

New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly thinks an All-Star game is needed in the Premier League to help the football pyramid.

The idea has sparked quite a reaction from managers and former professionals alike, with Boehly keen to take something with him from American sports.

One suggestion is a north versus south fixture.

BT Sport duo Rio Ferdinand and Owen Hargreaves discussed the concept last night as part of their Champions League coverage.

Ferdinand previous suggested a similar idea and he offered praise for Boehly, but Hargreaves wasn’t in favour either.

In my opinion, we already have a meaningless game in the Charity Shield and there is no room for anymore.
