Marcus Rashford enjoying football under Ten Hag

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford looks reborn under Erik ten Hag.

The England international scored twice in Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday.

For a player who really struggled last season, Rashford has managed a decent return from his first six games this term: 3 goals, 2 assists. He is a million miles clear from where he was in the 2022/23 campaign.

Rashford waited patiently for gaps in Arsenal’s defence to appear before making his dangerous runs clear on goal. He looked unstoppable and his confident will be growing by the week if this level of form continues.

Ten Hag was asked about Rashford at Wednesday’s press conference – ahead of the Europa League clash against Real Sociedad.

The Dutchman explains that Rashford is happy and always looking to learn, even bringing good vibes to the dressing room after looking like someone who had fallen out of love with football last season.

“Once again, it’s difficult for me to talk about the past,” Ten Hag told reporters, as per the Manchester Evening News.

“What I see is a happy Marcus Rashford. We worked really hard the last two months with him on different aspects. He likes it, he wants to transfer it to the pitch. It started with happiness, he comes in every day, he enjoys it, he’s smiling, a really positive vibe, and if you put all of those things together – like the way of play – and you are happy, you will contribute more to the team.”
