Marcus Rashford voted MOTM by United fans after brace vs Arsenal

Marcus Rashford has been voted man of the match for Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Arsenal.

Manchester United fans had the chance to vote for their man of the match after the game via ManUtd.com, with Marcus Rashford coming out on top after his two second half goals to cement the win.

Interestingly, Gary Neville gave his Sky Sports man of the match award to Christian Eriksen, who picked up 19 per cent of the votes.

Votes for man of the match vs Arsenal

  • Marcus Rashford – 56%
  • Christian Eriksen – 19%
  • Antony – 7%

Furthermore, Rashford provided the assist for the first goal, scored by Antony to make it a perfect debut for the Brazil international.

There was plenty of criticism thrown at Rashford last season when he struggled for form, so I think Erik ten Hag will take it upon himself to get him back to his best. He led the line for the fourth successive game with Cristiano Ronaldo named on the bench once again.

Rashford looks fitter, stronger, and sharper, and he took his chances against the Gunners.

Ten Hag’s trust will grow if Rashford can continue scoring goals.
