(Video) Christian Eriksen admits Man United must do better after scoring

Manchester United are building momentum in the Premier League after their 1-0 win over Leicester on Thursday evening meant they had won three straight games domestically.

Prior to this run under Erik ten Hag, United had only won three straight league games since December 2021 when Michael Carrick’s win over Arsenal was followed by two wins under Ralf Rangnick.

Christian Eriksen was at the heart of United’s victory, pulling the strings from deep and the Danish international has earned plenty of plaudits from supporters.

Speaking after the game, Eriksen admitted that United need to do better after scoring their first goal, arguing that it was the same against Southampton at the weekend.

“Yeah, I think so,” Eriksen told BT Sport when pressed on whether United should have killed the game off earlier. “It was similar to Southampton. We did very well until we scored and then we have to keep momentum.

“We have to kill the game earlier obviously, otherwise, it’s going to be a tight game until the end like today.”

The former Tottenham star has proven to be quite some piece of business by United after joining the Reds on a free transfer. He has started all five of United’s games so far and he will be eyeing four straight wins in the league on Sunday as Arsenal make the trip to Old Trafford.
