RB Salzburg defender Maximilian Wober has said a move to Manchester United would be a dream come true.

The Austria international has made it clear that he is open to a switch to Old Trafford, having previously worked under Erik ten Hag, although it’s not a move that will happen before the deadline.

Wober speaks about a potential transfer to United, despite there being no contact from the club – and we haven’t eveb been linked with a move for him this summer.

“Of course, I’m tempted to go abroad in one way or another,” Wober told Sky Sport Austria, as recited by the Manchester Evening News.

“But I made a conscious decision in the summer to extend my contract with Salzburg once again, because I’ve really found joy and fun in football here again.

“I’ve blossomed again, and I’ve grown into an absolute leader in the team and in the club.

“Since Manchester United is my absolute dream club, I would definitely say ‘yes’ there, but it won’t play out. There has been no contact.”

United are unlikely to sign more players between now and tonight’s deadline, but we could see a few leave the club.

We haven’t seen many links to Wober this summer either…
