Manchester United have confirmed that an agreement has been struck with Ajax over winger Antony, who will join the club after undergoing a medical and obtaining a work permit.
Antony was spotted at Carrington on Monday as he underwent a medical and now, confirmation of his move has come as Erik ten Hag continues to strengthen his squad.
As per the statement on Manchester United’s official website, the move is subject to the player completing a medical, personal terms being finalised and international clearance.
Despite a deal being announced over 48 hours prior to United’s game at Leicester on Thursday, Antony is not expected to be part of the side.

Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that he is more likely to make his debut for the Reds against Arsenal this weekend, when he will hopefully have obtained all the necessary permits.
Antony will become United’s fifth signing of the summer after also adding Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro.
Martin Dubravka, the Newcastle goalkeeper, is likely to become the sixth arrival of the summer after it was revealed that a medical had been scheduled.
According to GOAL journalist James Robson, Antony and Dubravka are likely to be United’s final two incomings this summer.
