Hannibal Mejbri joins Birmingham City on loan

Hannibal Mejbri completes his loan move to Birmingham City.

The Championship side has been the front-runners to sign Hannibal all summer, despite interest from several clubs in the second tier of English football.

Birmingham City announced his arrival on Twitter this evening, as seen in the video below:

Hannibal, 19, has already made a name for himself on the international stage and he now stars in the Tunisia national side. This year he will be going to the World Cup and regular game time at Birmingham City should prove beneficial to his development.

Birmingham are in desperate need of a playmaker after scoring just three goals from six matches, and United are never shy when it comes to sending talented players from the academy to the Championship. It helps them gain experience away from academy football.

Good opportunity for Hannibal Mejbri

Hannibal needs to go out and play regularly to impress Erik ten Hag. Next summer he’ll get another chance to go on tour to express himself in a United shirt.

Unlike Chong last year, I hope Hannibal can take full advantage of his opportunity at Birmingham City – without any injury setbacks.

We wish Hannibal the best of luck at Birmingham!
