Jadon Sancho gave an uplifting interview after Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League tonight.
The winger played brilliantly and scored the opening goal to give United a first half lead.
Sancho continued to torment Liverpool’s defence and his link-up play was terrific throughout the night. It helped that everyone responded tonight.
The result means Liverpool will go into their fourth game of the season in search of their first win after previously drawing against Fulham and Crystal Palace.
Sancho has urged his United team-mates to produce more performances like tonight. He wants to see the same intensity in every game and I don’t think we’ll find Erik ten Hag disagreeing with that.
Sancho wants United to show consistency
“We just have to produce like what we have done every single game,” Sancho told MUTV after the match, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News. “I’m happy we’ve got the three points, on to the next game and we move on.
“It means a lot to all of us. You can see how the fans reacted we knew it was a big game today, we’re just happy we got the three points and it’s not over. Onto the next and focus on them.”
It will be a big boost for Sancho to get on the scoresheet tonight. He left half of Liverpool’s defence on the floor before sending the ball past Allison.
Sancho may be part of United’s future attack consisting of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial because all three show encouraging signs at Old Trafford tonight.
