Elon Musk jokes about buying Manchester United

Elon Musk says he is buying Manchester United.

Manchester United fans have protested for the past 17 years against the American Glazer family, who bought the club in 2005, due to how they’re destroying the football club we love.

Musk, 51, has a history of posting irrelevant messages on Twitter – so it remains to be seen if he’s telling truth about buying Manchester United.

He shocked Twitter users when he posted: “Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome.”

He went on to confirm this was only a joke.

Some fans previously urged Musk – the world’s richest man – to buy United instead of Twitter. He is currently in the process of trying to exit a $44 billion agreement to buy the social media company.

Sky News did a report on Musk’s promise to buy United and the Glazer family did not immediately respond to the request, but that doesn’t mean anything because they refuse to do interviews with British outlets.

Meanwhile, the anti-Glazer movement is still strong with plans for more protests ahead of our next home match against Liverpool on Monday night.
