Tyrell Malacia sends message to Ten Hag ahead of Liverpool clash

Manchester United left-back Tyrell Malacia has sent a message to Erik ten Hag following Saturday’s heavy defeat to Brentford.

The Red Devils suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Brentford with Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee and Bryan Mbeumo all getting on the scoresheet in West London.

It was so bad that the game was over by half-time.

United’s defeat leaves us positioned at the bottom of the table.

I don’t know how the board thinks it’s acceptable to hire a new manager but not back him with a fully equipped squad for the new season. The sheer incompetence absolutely reeks from Old Trafford.

Malacia came on at half-time against Brentford on Saturday when the scoreline was 4-0, which is how the game finished at full-time. He has now sent a message to his manager ahead of the upcoming game against Liverpool.

The Netherlands international was asked why he was a substitute at the weekend and he told Viaplay (as quoted by the Manchester Evening News): “You have to ask the trainer about that. It’s something between me and the trainer, we discuss that together.

“I’m fit. I don’t come here to sit on the bench.

“I always want to play, of course. When my time comes, I will definitely be there.”

SN’s verdict

United were so bad in the first two games of the season, I think Ten Hag will make a number of changes for the game versus Liverpool.

That might be a risk but so is sticking with the same team that is losing games against Brighton and Brentford.

It’s time to see a reaction from this team but I am fed up from demanding one.

  1. man u need to bench this flop players, rashford, sancho, shaw, dalot, fred, maguire and use another players.then the glazer should buy a good midfilder.

  2. I got one question. If the Glazers are with what their seeing on the pitch then we are doomed. Baring in mind they bought at the time a winning football team.
Also what does Ten Hag see in Dalot,Mcfred and Bruno not to mention Maguire, Rashford and Sancho. Maguire should never have been captain let alone to keep the armband.

  3. It is obvious what is wrong with this club. Glazers, Board of Directors and at least eight players. The Glazers we know have no interest in being a top competitive football team. That was evident when they kept the useless executive Vice-President of merchandise running a football team although he had no prior experience. And now extended to an executive team of inexperienced managers. The board of Directors, I exclude Sir Alex and David Gill, are an interfering bunch of clowns. The players who are letting us down are: Maguire, Shaw, Dalot, Fred, McTominay, Fernandes, Ronaldo, Rashford. The manager should give them an ultimation, shape up or be benched, or shipped out.

  4. The defense is the issue!! Maguire has to go and Ronaldo!! Rashford, Martial Sancho up front and bring in Garner or Pellestri to the midfield with Bruno. Erickson was a bad buy!!

  5. we have got rid of better players or have them in the club already than the ones being touted to turn the club around. Chris Smalliing is a better CB than any at the club Ander Herrera better than any DMF at the club Dean Henderson and Sam Jonstone a better goalie thanany at club and Ralf Rangnick better than any sporting director and all his advice ignored

  6. How’s Ronaldo on the list of your flop players. Anyday anytime, Ronaldo is always giving his best. You need players with his winning mentality in the team. I’m surprise at anyone to consider him not a good player. He still plays good football and with the right attitude of a competitive player.
