Exclusive: New York investment fund considering Man United offer

Manchester United are under a world of pressure – both on and off the field of play.

Even though the Red Devils have lost their two opening Premier League matches, losing 2-1 against Brighton and Hove Albion and following it up with a 4-0 drubbing away to Brentford, struggling for results is just one of the club’s problems. There are many, many more.

Owned by American business tycoon family, ‘the Glazers’, the Red Devils’ lack of organic investment, coupled with crumbling facilities, has seen the fanbase’s discontent understandably reach heights never-before-seen.

However, good news for anybody hoping for some much-needed change may be on the horizon.

As the Glazer family finds themselves under unprecedented pressure to walk away from the club, Stretty News understands there is a New York-based investment fund considering putting together an offer to take over the club.

We cannot name the investment fund but we understand internal discussions regarding a potential offer have already taken place.

Our American-based source described the situation as ‘very much real’ and ‘one to watch’.

  1. GLAZERS OUT !! Your time is up.Youve done nothing but sink this club to the ground and taken everything you can for your own profit.Do the right thing and LEAVE.

  2. Glazer should leave the club,, and teh hag should consider this lineup,, degea, shaw, bissack, veran, Martinez, ericksen, Scott, Bruno Ronaldo, Sancho and rashford/Martial

  3. Another US buyer, and an investment fund. That means only profits matter and club will be run by bankers again. Better the devil you know. Please get a fan based consortium sey up headed by people like Rio, Neville, Fergie. Utd do not need rich owners as the club is more than self sufficient, we just need the utd trust to set it in motion. Worldwide money will be raised easily.

    1. And how will any fans consortium raise 4bn pounds . Impossible to achieve . Glazers own 64 per cent of the voting rights. Raising money will mean borrowing so that is the same as the glazer model so it’s a non starter and not worth the oxygen

      1. Easy – First de-value the club by getting them beaten by Brighton and Brentford in the first 2 games. This will wipe millions of the value of the club. Carry on like this and the club will be worth half the value it was at the start of the year. The Glazers will be forced to cut their losses.
Could this explain the quote frankly unbelievable start to the season?

  4. Glazer it’s your time to leave now and ten hag should start de Gea, wan-bissaka varane Baily malacia (defensive midfielder) Martinez mctominay, Elanga eriksen Sancho (striker) Ronaldo

  5. Do you honestly think changing the Glazers to another American based Investment fund will be any different? Do you understand why investment funds exist? They are parasitic groups who seek only to funnel as much money as physically possible out of companies to provide profits to their investors. It’s like swapping Stalin for Hitler either way we’d be screwed.
