Cristiano Ronaldo will return to starting action on Saturday afternoon against Brentford.
The Portuguese superstar missed the Red Devils’ pre-season tour of Australia so he wasn’t able to rack up minutes until the end of last month when United hosted Rayo Vallecano in a friendly at Old Trafford.

Even though United welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion during last weekend’s Premier League opener, Ronaldo was only a substitute and one who was introduced after 53 minutes.
However, ahead of Saturday’s match at the Brentford Community Stadium, Erik ten Hag, who is looking to claim his first three points, has recalled the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to his starting lineup.
Discussing his decision to include the 37-year-old, the former Ajax boss, who spoke to Sky Sports prior to kick-off, revealed that Ronaldo is now back to full fitness and has hinted he is expecting goals from the former Real Madrid Galactico.
