Manchester United will be looking at getting back to winning ways when they take on Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Reds go into the game on the back of a bitterly disappointing 2-1 opening day defeat to Brighton at Old Trafford, whilst the hosts drew 2-2 with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Cristiano Ronaldo is widely expected to lead the attack after been named on the substitutes bench against Brighton, whilst defender Raphael Varane could also return to the starting eleven.
Few expected United to be as bad as they were last weekend and truth be told, the performance was no better than it was last season, but with Ten Hag now at the helm you hope and feel things will be different.
Brentford can be a real handful particularly at home and United will no doubt have to be at their very best to take all three points. Brentford are a team that likes to attack and really give it a go but with Ronaldo expected to return and with Sancho, Eriksen and co all likely to start the Reds certainly have more than enough firepower to get past Brentford and take all three points.
It won’t be easy but I still do expect Manchester United to bounce back and get the win they need here albeit it will be close.
Prediction: Brentford 1-2 Manchester United
