There is growing uncertainty over Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United and in the event of his departure, the Reds will be left light up front.
Ronaldo is the only out-and-out striker at the club and Anthony Martial’s continuing injury problems are hardly making it easier for Erik ten Hag, who tasted defeat in his first game last weekend.
That has reportedly prompted United into scouring the market for a striker and now, former Chelsea star Alvaro Morata has become the latest player to be linked with a move to Old Trafford.
According to Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdams, United have been offered the opportunity to sign Morata from Atletico Madrid this summer, as seen below.

Morata has just one year remaining on his contract at the Madrid club after spending two years on loan at Juventus – his second spell at the Turin club.
The 29-year-old represents a cheaper option for the club this summer, with their pursuit of midfielders still likely to use up a sizeable chunk of the club’s transfer kitty.
Juventus, whom Morata left earlier this summer, are also in the hunt for a striker and Martial is being considered among a number of options. United are, however, unlikely to sanction a sale unless cover can be signed.
