Manchester United could turn their attention to Norwich City full-back Max Aarons.

That is according to Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy, who suggests the the 22-year-old could become a late target for Erik ten Hag this summer.

Reddy reports via Sky Sports Transfer Centre: “Norwich’s Max Aarons could become a possible solution as Manchester United look into options at right-back.

“He has been a historical target for them – and has been assessed by two other top six clubs previously – but it remains to be seen how their interest develops.”

It sounds like United are approaching the end of the night and they’re lurking the dance-floor to see what remains on the market. Moreover, I doubt Ten Hag planned for his first transfer window at Old Trafford to go this way.

As things stand, United have made three signings this summer – with one of those being a left-back. Tyrell Malacia joined from Feyenoord to give the Red Devils something different to Luke Shaw and Alex Telles.

Ten Hag would be wise to do the same on the right because Diogo Dalot is far from the finished article, and on top of that, I think Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s days at United are numbered.

Aarons is now playing in the Championship and he has been a strong candidate to depart Norwich City for several seasons.
