Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to sign Victor Lindelof this summer.
The Swede is expected to fall further down the pecking order this season following the arrival of Lisandro Martinez.
Erik ten Hag is expected to start Martinez this season but to make matters worse for Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane are also ahead of him in the pecking order.
I still think Lindelof should stick around for the season. He’s a very good squad player to have and could be brilliant back-up to any of the defenders currently ahead of him.
However, Forza Roma suggests Lindelof has emerged as a target for Mourinho.
Mourinho has already signed Nemanja Matic on a free agent this summer following his United exit.
Of all the defenders we should be selling this summer, I don’t think Lindelof should make the list. Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe should all be shown the door first.
