Cristiano Ronaldo has jumped to social media to confirm he will return to action this weekend when Manchester United take on Rayo Vallecano.
The 37-year-old reported back to Carrington this week along with his agent, Jorge Mendes, to discuss his future with United chiefs.
It is believed that Ronaldo wishes to leave United this summer, although the veteran star has hit out at recent reports and how he has been portrayed by the media.
United’s travelling squad for Saturday’s friendly against Atletico Madrid in Oslo did not include Ronaldo, so questions were raised over whether he would be in the squad for Sunday’s game against Rayo Vallecano.
However, in response to a post on social media that suggested he would not take part in any of the games this weekend, Ronaldo said: “On Sunday the king will play.”

It remains to be seen if Erik ten Hag will give Ronaldo minutes in Sunday’s game, but I don’t see why he wouldn’t unless he thinks the Portuguese superstar is on the verge of leaving ahead of the new season. Then, it would be the case of giving Ronaldo minutes he doesn’t deserve.
Maybe Ronaldo should give an interview about his future to clear the air – because I don’t believe Mendes would demand an exit if that’s not what CR7 desires.
It doesn’t sound like there is a lot of interest in Ronaldo’s signature this summer. At 37, you can understand why he no longer appeals to some of the biggest clubs in the world, but he showed last season that he can still score goals at the highest level.
Ronaldo must sit on the bench. He’s selfish and owes no loyalty to Manchester United. I don’t think we should make him feel important and include him. Nobody wants to buy him. He seriously over estimated the demand for his services. Now we should teach a valuable lesson ” No player is bigger than Manchester United “. We don’t need him, he slows us down.
Who told you Ronaldo is not important. He is a King. King of football. Please, show some respect
Shut up you bell end! If it wasn’t for Ronaldo last season we’d have been in a relegation battle. Other strikers last season Rashford – shite, Martial – shite, Cavani- average, Greenwood – too busy slapping his missus around. Ask yourself have you seen an interview with Ronaldo saying he wants to leave? All media bollocks
I agree with those who says he is not bigger than Man UTD. If he wants to leave for a Champions League Club let him go.
Otherwise he will make things difficult for us.
Let the GOAT go!!!!!
Now hes saying he will play. Thats arrogance. No player tells the manager he wants to play or not.
Ronaldo must not sit on the bench. Last season some fans attributed the failure of Manu to Ronaldo joining the club. This season with all the bad compliments by fans, he decided to leave and the same fans are saying that he is proud. Always remember that he is a king – King of football and that due respect should be accorded him. Please, give honour to whom it is due. A king is always a king no matter the hatred by those who could not achieve his feat.
Player only seek self glory me myself and I. King but no club wants him what kind of selfish king
