How Manchester United lined up against Wrexham in behind-closed-doors friendly

Manchester United put four goals past National League outfit Wrexham in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Wednesday.

Erik ten Hag handed starts to new signings Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez in United’s 4-1 pre-season friendly win over Wrexham. They both missed the pre-season tour and you can understand why the manager is keen to give them minutes ahead of the season opener against Brighton.

However, the game against Wrexham took place in a behind-closed-doors setting as Ten Hag gave his players extra minutes on the pitch ahead of a busy weekend.

United take on Atletico Madrid in Oslo on Saturday before travelling back to Manchester for another pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano.
