Who will be Europe’s next most wanted striker? Erling Haaland completed his transfer to Manchester City and Barcelona signed Robert Lewandowski.
Manchester United are tracking Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko, as per Fabrizio Romano, as the 19-year-old opened his account for the new season in Friday’s opening match against Austria Wien.
Manchester United are well informed on Salzburg talent Benjamin Šeško. He’s one of the players monitored, considered ‘really talented’ – but it’s not imminent or advanced deal as of now. 🚨🔴 #MUFC

The moment you see him on the pitch you will see his physical presence, stood at 6ft 4in, so it shouldn’t surprise you that there has been Erling Haaland comparisons at RB Salzburg.
In an interview with Goal (published last year), Sesko spoke about his qualities and said: “Such comparisons (to Erling Haaland) motivate me and give me energy.
“They do not represent pressure. I will listen and learn so I can be even better than he is. My team-mates at the club tell me that Haaland and I are very similar, especially in terms of speed. Most of them even tell me that I’m better than him!”
It is good to hear that United are already tracking Sesko because they missed out on Julian Alvarez in January. The Argentine starlet joined Manchester City and I think he will make a name for himself in the Premier League next season.
That said, United can’t miss the boat on Europe’s next most wanted striker and that could be Sesko.
It might even make more sense to sign him this summer…
