(Video) Marcus Rashford explains what Erik ten Hag demands from attacking trio

Marcus Rashford is one of the players who impressed over Manchester United’s tour of Thailand and Australia, with the Englishman scoring against Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace.

More importantly, the forward was one third of a devastating trio, with Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial also at their brilliant best.

The trio seems to be Erik ten Hag’s favoured attackers thus far and they are likely to start the season against Brighton in two weeks.

Speaking after the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, Rashford explained what Ten Hag demands from his attackers ahead of travelling back to Manchester for the final part of their pre-season.

“He just wants us to be positive, he wants us to do everything in a positive manner,” Rashford told Football Daily, as seen above.

“For us, it means a lot of forward runs, interchanging positions, trying to link up with each other on the ball. And yeah, it’s fun to play in. We’re enjoying it. Hopefully, we can kick on and perform these types of performances come the season.”

Rashford has just one year remaining on his contract at United and will be eager to earn a fresh deal. Furthermore, he needs to impress in order to earn a place at this year’s World Cup.
