Anthony Martial has been razor sharp on pre-season tour after scoring his third goal in as many game following a brilliant finish against Crystal Palace.
The Frenchman returned to the club this summer after a six-month loan spell at Sevilla.
Sadly, it didn’t go to plan in La Liga and they weren’t interested in signing Martial on a permanent deal this summer, but this could still swing in his favour.
If he continues to impress on pre-season tour under Erik ten Hag, the manager could decide to give him a fresh start at the club – at a time many thought his days were numbered.
Martial’s goal against Crystal Palace is a real beauty and a lot of credit must go to Diogo Dalot for his cross into the box. The back in-form striker made his finish look easy.
