Chelsea will not be signing Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
That’s according to a recent report by The Athletic, who believe the Blues will not be pursuing a deal for the Portuguese superstar.
An earlier report from David Ornstein revealed that new owner Todd Boehly had recently met with super-agent Jorge Mendes to discuss a potential move for Ronaldo.

However, as originally reported by CaughtOffside, Boehly’s Blues will not be pursuing a deal, so the future of United’s number seven remains uncertain.

Fans, as well as new manager Erik ten Hag, will be hoping the transfer speculation surrounding the 37-year-old does not impact the club’s start to the new season.
It is going to be hugely important for the club find a solution to the problem Ronaldo is creating as soon as possible.
There is still time left in the transfer window to bring in a replacement, should the Portugal international leave, but working on last-minute signings, especially an important position such as the striker’s role, is far from ideal and ten Hag will know that.
