Christian Eriksen has reportedly reached a verbal agreement over a transfer to Manchester United.

The Denmark international is a free agent after coming to the end of his short-term contract at Brentford, and it seems he’s chosen Man Utd as his next club, with a few formalities still to be finalised, according to The Athletic.

This is something of a U-turn from Eriksen, as it had previously been suggested by The Athletic that the former Inter Milan man favoured staying in London.

Still, it seems Eriksen is now ready to make the move to Old Trafford, in what looks an exciting signing for new manager Erik ten Hag.

Eriksen may have had his health issues recently, having collapsed with a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 last summer, but he’s recovered brilliantly since then.

The 30-year-old looks an ideal fit for Ten Hag’s style of play, having had a spell at Ajax as a youngster, with his great intelligence and composure on the ball likely to give MUFC a new dimension.
