Manchester United have been handed a boost in their summer pursuit of Antony.
When you can’t offer top players Champions League football, it helps when your transfer targets aren’t being chased by other top clubs, as seen with Frenkie de Jong, with Barcelona open to cashing in on the Netherlands international.
However, Antony is another top target for Erik ten Hag, who managed the Brazilian in his previous job at Ajax.
Tottenham were understood to be interested in the forward, but they’ve made a move for Everton’s Richarlison instead.

You may remember reports linking Richarlison with a move to United this summer, but those reports never came to anything and it doesn’t sound like he was seen as an alternative to Antony.
This could open the door for Ajax to sign Steven Bergwijn and he, in turn, would be an ideal replacement for Antony.
Talk about making everyone happy!
