Steve McClaren has joined Manchester United as one of Erik ten Hag’s assistants.
The former England manager becomes a United coach again and previously holding the role as Sir Alex Ferguson’s assistant manager.
McClaren arrives with Mitchell van der Gaag and both were in attendance for training at Carrington on Monday morning.
Speaking on The McClaren Performance Podcast, McClaren spoke about changing the culture at United. He said: “We all need to connect with each other.
“Games are won Monday to Friday, if you get Monday to Friday right, some games are won on Saturday. Each and everyone has to bring energy.
“We’re going into Manchester United and having to create that [winning] culture, a culture and that’s one of the most fascinating things.”
