Diogo Dalot is looking forward to going on tour with Manchester United this summer.

The full-back is among the 15 players expected to return for pre-season training at Carrington on Monday morning. Erik ten Hag will start to work on the players’ fitness before introducing double sessions for his new squad.

Speaking to club media, the Portugal international said: “It’s great bringing fans to stadiums, back to football. That’s what football is about.

“To go travelling around the world, and see the love and support [our fans] have been showing, will be great. It will be a very good feeling to have them in pre-season.”

Dalot is excited to learn new things under Ten Hag, adding: “I’m sure that you will start to see a few things, a few new ideas from the manager. Hopefully, we can see great things and start to build our ideas.

“[We need to] train properly in the pre-season and hopefully start the season well.”
