Manchester United have been linked with a move for former Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards.
Several clubs have been linked with Edwards in the past week, including Chelsea, as new owner Todd Boehly searches the market for a new sporting director.
Edwards has played a crucial role in Liverpool’s success over the years both on and off to pitch. He can take a share of responsibility for bringing the likes of Mohamed Salah, Alisson Becker, Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho to the club during his 10-year stint at Anfield.
However, the Manchester Evening News claims United aren’t looking to add to their football department with John Murtough currently ‘running the show’.
Sky Sport reporter Melissa Reddy has the latest on situation and claims Chelsea are the ones to look out for as they launch a pursuit to get Edwards.

The Glazers have already decided to replace Ed Woodward with Richard Arnold.
Unlike his predecessor, Arnold is willing to let the football decisions to those best qualified.
There are concerns about how slow United can be to get deals over the line, so maybe Murtough has too much on his plate at once and we should be looking for someone experienced to work alongside side him?
This is something Arnold should have sorted with Ralf Rangnick before he took the Austria offer.
