Marcus Rashford is enjoying some time away on holiday after a difficult season and I’m sure everyone reading this hopes that he gets the rest he needs this summer before turning his career around next season under Erik ten Hag.

Last night, the Manchester United star was in New York to see Sue Bird play her final regular-season game in the Women’s National Basketball Association.

Bird is a former American-Israeli professional basketball player who was drafted by the Storm first overall in the 2002 WNBA draft and is considered to be one of the greatest players in the league’s history.

The WNBA icon, who was pictured alongside Rashford after Seattle Storm’s win over New York Liberty, after hitting her lost last shot in her game in New York.

An incredible sporting moment to witness.

Rashford featured on the jumbotron during the game which shows he is a recognised star across the world.

He smiled in reaction when the spotlight turned to him: Instead of announcing his new TikTok account like Jesse Lingard.

(Grow up, Jesse)
