Manchester United learn Leicester City’s asking price for Wesley Fofana

Manchester United should’ve known that before enquiring about Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana that Leicester City would do their utmost to get a ridiculous transfer fee in return.
Remember how they got £80m out of United for Harry Maguire? No offence to the United skipper, but that transfer fee raised eyebrows in the worst possible way.
Well, according to RMC Sport, Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing Wesley Fofona but Leicester City will want approximately £68 million in return.
I can’t see United spending £68m on a defender who has just endured a difficult season with the Foxes after suffering a horrific leg break during pre-season. Fofana could only manage seven appearances towards the end of the campaign, but that is hardly enough to warrant that sort of money.
Moreover, the potential buyer is signing a player who has recently suffered a leg break, so there’s an element of risk involved.
Fofana is the second defensive player to be linked with both United and Chelsea today, with Sky Sports suggesting that PSV’s defensive midfielder Ibrahim Sangare has emerged as a player of interest.
Only time will tell but spending £68m on Fofana would be a huge risk.
