Manchester United ready to cut their losses on Aaron Wan-Bissaka

I don’t think it would be an exaggeration to say Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been one of the worst Manchester United signings of the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Wan-Bissaka has been offered to at least one club ahead of a potential transfer this summer.

The report states United received an enquiry from a Spanish club for Diogo Dalot, although it is understood that they would be more willing to listen to offers for their other right-back.

This comes with claims Wan-Bissaka was reportedly informed by Erik ten Hag that he would not be part of the Dutchman’s plans next season.

Jose Mourinho is allegedly considering a move for the struggling defender and it would make sense for United to offer him around in the market. That way we could get even more than €30m for his signature.

Former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer settled on Wan-Bissaka in a deal rising to £50 million in 2019, but it was clear last year that they were dissatisfied with the right-back as United were linked with a move for Kieran Trippier.

It’s baffling that in the past three years, the 24-year-old hasn’t improved a single area of his game, and I think the coaches need to look at themselves because he is not the only player you can say that about at United.

Wan-Bissaka lost his place in the team this season under Ralf Rangnick, who preferred to start Diogo Dalot at right-back, but neither impressed and that will raise concerns for new manager Erik ten Hag.

United’s recruitment has been a laughing stock for years and Wan-Bissaka’s move from Crystal Palace will go down as one of the worst.

Let us know if you agree in the comments section. Should United sell Wan-Bissaka this summer?
