(Video) James Garner floors Huddersfield Town winger with crunching tackle in play-off final

With Huddersfield Town’s Danny Ward breaking forward in the first half of the Championship play-off, Manchester United loanee James Garner tracked his man and made a strong, lunging tackle to cancel out an attack on Nottingham Forest’s goal.

I don’t think I exaggerate when I say it’s the best tackle, I’ve seen this season from a United player, but maybe our awful form has something to do with that.

The referee could have no issue with the challenge because Garner wins the ball cleanly.

Just minutes later, Garner assisted a goal for Forest after Levi Colwill kicked the ball into his own net.

That goal was enough to send Forest back to the top-flight after 23-years.

That spell included three seasons in League One between 2005 and 2008. Moreover, prior to this season, Forest had only twice featured in the Championship play-offs since relegation from the Premier League.

We would like to send a huge congratulations to Garner on an incredible achievement. Talk about a successful loan spell!
