Manchester United player left Ten Hag ‘shaking his head’ in Crystal Palace defeat

Erik ten Hag attended Manchester United’s final game of the season at Selhurst Park from the stands.

The players performed poorly, and fans can’t complain about the result – losing 1-0 against Crystal Palace – after a season of watching the team underperform.

According to journalist Sam Pilger, who previously worked as part of the club’s media team, Ten Hag was left ‘particularly unimpressed’ with Alex Telles.

Pilger tweeted: “My spies in the Crystal Palace directors box report Erik ten Hag has been shaking his head a lot and not happy. Particularly unimpressed with Alex Telles.”

The Brazilian started at left-back and he performed below par yet again.

Ten Hag was reportedly spotted ‘shaking his head a lot’ and looked anxious at times when Telles had the ball.

This is not a good sign for Telles, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he was sold in the summer. I look at the full-backs currently at the club and the Dutchman may look to made additions at right-back and left-back over the next two years.

As much as I would like to see both areas addressed in the transfer market, United have a lot more problems in midfield and in front of goal. It would be difficult (not impossible) to fit everything into the one transfer window.

Telles has played 21 times in the Premier League, providing four assists.
