Preview: Crystal Palace vs Manchester United

Manchester United will be looking to end the season on a high when they take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds go into the game on the back of a bitterly disappointing 4-0 defeat to Brighton last time out, whilst the hosts were defeated 3-2 by Everton at Goodison Park midweek.

Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to once agai lead the line in attack against Palace as he bids to reach 20 Premier League goals for the season. Meanwhile, youngsters Alejandro Garnacho and Charlie Savage could be named in the squad after being pictured training with the first team this week.

Truth be told, the end of the season can’t come fast enough for Manchester United. After what has been a horrible season at Old Trafford, the Reds faithful are already looking ahead to next season under new head coach Erik ten Hag but with one game still to go and a place in the Europa League not yet guaranteed, it’s still important United get three points against Palace and end the season on a positive note.

Crystal Palace are a real tricky side to play against at Selhurst Park and they have already taken points off the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur this season and in order for the Reds to defeat Palace we will undoubtedly have to be at our very best.

Going forward with Zaha and co Palace can cause you real problems and with nothing to play for I expect will give it a real go against United but despite that this is a game I do expect United to win.

The game itself may not have too much riding on it but from a pride point of view perspective and wanting to get European football for next season albeit the Europa League its important we end the season on a high and get the three points needed.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-3 Manchester United
