Fabrizio Romano confirms two Man Utd players could leave this summer

Erik ten Hag is just days away from officially starting work as Manchester United’s next manager, having signed a three-year deal to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s successor.

The Dutchman recently secured a third consecutive Eredivisie title and could be in attendance on Sunday as United wrap up their miserable campaign against Crystal Palace.

United are in for one of their busiest summers in recent years and they could need several sales to fund transfers, with six players already certain to leave on free transfers.

Eric Bailly signed a new contract at the club at the end of last season but according to journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, United are now prepared to let him go, as seen below.

The same is true for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has endured a challenging third season at the club, with outcast defender Diogo Dalot claiming the right-back spot under Ralf Rangnick.

The former Crystal Palace star is now on the market but any deal to seal both players’ departures would depend on the proposals offered to them.

SN’s verdict…
Erik ten Hag will have the mandate to veto any deal this summer but there’s little to suggest that he would be fighting to keep Bailly and Wan-Bissaka at the club, with neither impressing this season.

Ten Hag will oversee a sizeable exodus this summer and trimming down the defence could be his first course of action. Jurrien Timber, the Ajax defender, has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford and could potentially replace Bailly in the event of an exit.

According to one report from Portugal last week, Ten Hag has been impressed by Dalot and keeps the Portugal international ‘firm’ in his plans.
