Paul Pogba is certain to leave Manchester United this summer upon the expiry of his contract and according to reports, a return to Juventus could be on the cards.

The 28-year-old hasn’t featured for his side since the 4-0 loss to Liverpool last month and it’s likely that he has already played his final game for the club.

Pogba has refrained from publicly commenting on his future but with just over a month remaining on the six-year deal he signed in 2016, it’s highly likely that he will be making a move in the upcoming transfer window.

He has been linked with a move to several European clubs for the past three years but a move never materialised and he’s now set to run his contract down for the second time in a decade.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Pogba’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, will travel to Turin on Monday to explore whether a deal to bring the midfielder back to Juventus is possible.

As per the report, Pogba is open to making a return to the Serie A but there are economical issues at play. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have submitted more lucrative contract offers to the France international, figures Juventus are unable to match.

SN’s verdict…
If reports are to be believed, Manchester United have made a contract offer to Pogba and it wouldn’t spell good news for the club if he took the club up on the offer.

Pogba has been an enigma for United throughout his six-year spell and in truth, he has largely been disappointing following his then-world record fee transfer in 2016.

At 29, United would do well to cut their losses and focus on a different formula. Clearly, the one that had Pogba at the heart of it, hasn’t worked out.
