Manchester United duo Alex Telles and Fred have been named in the Brazil squad for their upcoming games against South Korea, Japan and Argentina in June.
It’s always a tasty affair when Brazil take on Argentina – but hopefully our two lads can avoid any injuries while on international duty during the summer.
The two countries last met in a 2022 World Cup qualifier back in September. The match was abandoned just minutes into the game, when Brazilian health officials took to the pitch to stop Argentina’s players who play in England from playing, after claims the players in question had breached COVID-19 regulations.
It was a bizarre incident that grabbed the headlines, but we are expecting the full 90 minutes to be played this time around, especially with both teams having secured qualification for the World Cup.
Moreover, these matches will help the teams prepare for the World Cup later this year. The five-time winners are hoping to win their first World Cup since 2002 when they compete in Qatar.

Telles has performed abysmally over the past few months, so his inclusion comes as a surprise, whereas I think Fred has performed well throughout the campaign. He never threw the towel in like other players.
