Manchester United reportedly keeping tabs on Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, who has impressed in the Premier League this season.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Olise’s form has caught United’s attention, with the Red Devils considering a move for the right winger.
A source close to the situation has told Stretty News that the 20-year-old would be available for a fee in the reign of £35m, which could see Palace quickly make a £27m profit on the player in one year.
Olise was signed from Reading last summer for £8 million and he has attracted interest from Manchester United after just 12 months after joining the top-flight.
Palace know that with any promising player they bring to the Premier League, there is always a chance that they could impress one of the league’s big boys, including Arsenal (via Football London) and quickly jump ship.
However, reports suggest that United are the first to have shown their hand to sign Olise this summer. I’m not sure that will amount for anything when it comes to getting a deal over the line, but only time will tell if the Palace winger is one of United’s prime targets this summer.
Olise has scored twice and registered an impressive eight assists for the Eagles in all competitions. He could fit in with the model Erik ten Hag was to follow by buying talented young players for the future as well as the present.
Given his age it could be deemed a worthwhile investment.
