It was hardly a month to remember for Manchester United but there were some standout performers for the Reds in April as the season, thankfully, draws to a close.
United started the month with a drab 1-1 draw to Leicester and that 90-minute affair at Old Trafford was followed by an additional five games, with Ralf Rangnick’s side only coming out on top against now-relegated Norwich City.

Ronaldo is joined by veteran midfielder Nemanja Matic as a nominee, whilst Player of the Year-elect David de Gea is also nominated.
The winner is hardly going to read too much into securing the award but it’s highly likely that Ronaldo is going to win once again, which would be his third of the season.
