Gary Neville gives damning four-word Man United assessment

Manchester United was beaten four-nil against rivals Liverpool in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds were so emphatic that their latest victory over their arch-rivals is their biggest at Anfield since September 1990.

Goals from Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and a brace from Mo Salah downed the Red Devils, who failed to lay a single glove on their superior opponents.

Second best in every area of the pitch, United looked dead and buried from the first whistle.

With the game broadcast live on Sky Sports, former defender turned pundit and commentator Gary Neville was clearly left dumbfounded by the display his old side was putting on.

Speaking alongside ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, Neville had a damning verdict on United’s performance, particularly in the first half.

Shortly after Liverpool doubled their lead, Neville described Manchester United as an ‘absolute waste of space’.

With Liverpool now sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table and United left scrapping for an unlikely top-four finish, the remainder of the season looks set to be one to skip if you’re a Red Devil.
