Wayne Rooney wasn’t too bothered about Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘jealous’ remark on Instagram.
When Rooney appeared on Monday Night Football earlier this week, the Derby County manager delivered some home truths about his former club.
United’s all-time top scorer said he doesn’t think Ronaldo’s return has gone as planned.
On Wednesday, Rooney posted a photograph of himself in the Sky studio alongside Jamie Carragher and host presenter Dave Jones on Instagram. That was when Ronaldo responded with two words in the comments section: “Two jealous”.
Rooney was questioned about the remark during his latest press conference.
“I’d say there’s no a football player on the planet who isn’t jealous of Cristiano Ronaldo. The career he’s had, the trophies he’s won, the money he’s earned.
“The six-pack, his body,” he added. “I think every player bar Lionel Messi is jealous of Cristiano.”

Some of it justified, though a lot of it has been harsh.
