Donny van de Beek gets injured in Everton warm-up vs West Ham

Donny van de Beek was named in the Everton starting line-up to face West Ham but the Manchester United loanee pulled up with an injury during the warm-up.

Frank Lampard initially made five alterations from the Everton side that kicked-off the FA Cup quarter-final at Crystal Palace, but he had to make another change after the warm-up because Van de Beek felt a strain.

Everton are already short of central midfield options and Van de Beek will be missing again next weekend because he can’t play against his present club.

Lampard made the call to bring in Mason Holgate as a late replacement for Van de Beek.
