Bruno Fernandes must be on cloud nine after his brace against North Macedonia fired Portugal into the World Cup.
On top of that, he will return to Manchester where a new contract is waiting for his signature.
According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Manchester United playmaker will sign his new contract once he returns to England.
Romano claims an official announcement will be made in the coming days – and he will be tied to Old Trafford until 2027.
Magic moment for Bruno Fernandes. Two key goals for Portugal, World Cup secured – then he’ll be fly back to England in order to sign his new contract with Man United. 🔴🇵🇹 #MUFC

Despite what talkSPORT want you to believe, Fernandes deserves a new contract even though there are 3-years remaining on his current deal. This is a player who became a transformative figure under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer just months after he joined from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020.
The Portugal international is set to see his weekly pay packet jump to £240,000 a week.
This season at United, only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more goals and Paul Pogba has managed more assists.
Fernandes’ form may have dipped this season, but he is still our man to go to…
whats funny is that if this story is true, and i believe it to be, it just proves how badly run united are as a club.
you criticise united for being terribly run then support such a stupid decision.
he has three years left on his contract, we dont have a manager appointed, who may not want him (justifiably so considering his perfomances for about a year now).
he would be on a very big contract and would be difficult to shift – should the new manager not want him, or just as likely that his performances do not improve.
we could be stuck in a de gea/martial situation again yet you think its a good idea-its decisions like this that has brought united down to a comedy club.
consider the fact that he has performed pretty poorly for about 40% of his time at united, first 60% was very good (without fans may i add).
united will have a new manager in about 2 months – why not wait.
city/liverpool would never make such a dumb decision – i doubt any top club would, but then we gave 450 million to ole gunnar didn’t we…
