Jude Bellingham in Manchester United’s midfield plans

It appears to be only a matter of time before Borussia Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham returns to English football.

The former Birmingham City midfielder is tearing it up in the Bundesliga, and a number of clubs would love to see the England international on the move this summer.

Personally, I think Borussia Dortmund will do everything they can to keep hold of Bellingham this summer, especially when it seems incredibly likely that they will lose Erling Haaland in the next transfer window.

Bellingham is still only 18-years-old. At such a tender age he has already racked up over 100 appearances as a professional football, including 10 as a full England international. He will have his eye on the 2022 World Cup when it comes to making a decision about his future, so maybe staying at Dortmund would be the best idea for now?

Manchester United eye move for Jude Bellingham

Bellingham has been on the club’s radar for some time – but that much has been well documented. From Sir Alex Ferguson meeting his parents to the youngster snubbing interest in order to join Borussia Dortmund, we have been linked with the talented midfielder for a long time.

The Glazers don’t like to spend money because it takes away from the dividends they cash in on annually, but it’s clear that the team needs a complete makeover. Bellingham would be shrew acquisition in midfield, and we could be in the market to replace Paul Pogba at the end of the season.

Central midfield has long been identified as a problematic area for United. They need reinforcements in the middle of the park but hopefully there will be room for James Garner to get chances next season. Either way, we should see an improvement on the likes of Fred, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic.

Jadon Sancho swapped Dortmund for Manchester United last summer and the bookies rare Bellingham’s chances of doing the same at 7/1.

Unlike Manchester City, Chelsea or Liverpool – who have all been linked with moves for Bellingham in the past – Manchester United will be appointing a new manager in the summer and he will want to put his own stamp on the squad.

Jude Bellingham to stay at Borussia Dortmund for now

There’s no guarantee that Bellingham will be playing his football in the Premier League next season. We can only hope that United can make a deal happen when he decides to move on.

Bellingham is thriving at Signal Iduna Park and he has plenty of time left in his career to move back to England.
