Manchester United academy duo Hannibal Mejbri and Shola Shoretire have been ranked among the top 50 best teenage talents in world football.
Goal’s NXGN list for 2022 has been released to celebrate the best players born on or after 1 January 2003, which will make quite a few of our readers feel old, including myself.
Hundreds of journalists from 37 countries took part in compiling the list and we are delighted to see Hannibal ranked at no.22, while Shoretire came 44th in the rankings.
Hannibal has already represented Tunisia at senior level during the Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA Arab Cup, and he will be involved again in the upcoming double-header against Mali in the World Cup qualification stages.
Moreover, Shoretire has been called up to the England U18 squad.
The men’s list was topped by Borussia Dortmund sensation and United target Jude Bellingham.
Past winners include Ansu Fati, Jadon Sancho, Justin Kluivert, Rodrygo, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Youri Tielemans.
